MCB Lite Visa Card. Is it worth Getting?

Mcb lite card no longer works on major websites like google, facebook etc. Or any website that makes a test transaction before making the actual transaction. You can get around using it on other website such as steam, aliexpress etc. by re-entering card info on every purchase and not using the saved card information. It works this way for some tries. For now, avoid mcb lite if you can.

so i read a review about mcb lite card at consumerpolice. You should definitely check that out for cons and pros. This post deals with my personal review for mcb lite card and how to order it?

Does it work online?

90% of the time that is the reason anyone would think about getting mcb lite card. Well i was surprised that it works great. I have no problem yet. I have used it on steam,aliexpress,g2a,1and1 e.t.c  Every transaction was made instantly. Although i did receive a call when i made a purchase of more than 10$ but that was just to confirm that i made it and that my account was not stolen. Google deducted 70rs from my account but that is for verification and it is mostly given back to you within 7 days. Mcb sends sms for every purchase you do on your mobile number. Google deducts the exact amount displayed at google play but it is kinda hard to estimate the price in dollars.

The first one is from Google play which deducted the exact amount that was listed there. Second one is a purchase in dollars. About $8.96+ some tax(by the website).  Roughly 105-112rs = 1$. Another purchase was of $1.17 which costed me 125rs (106rs). I'm pretty sure it was the tax that made the purchase upto 1k.

How to order?

You can order by going to bank, over the phone or from their website. I used the phone one.
Basically call their help line with your city code. Keep your cnic close because you are required to inform about your cnic number during creation of account. Just tell them you want to make mcb lite card account. Give them all the required information including address where your card will be delivered. It usually takes 7 days. Mine arrived within 6 days. You are also required to show your cnic at delivery time.

Now you need to go to a Mcb Lite enabled branch. Now this is important. Not all Mcb branches are lite enabled. You should ask them if i can deposit money in lite card from this branch or not. After the deposit you will receive a sms instantly. Now get your account activated from that branch. After that you will need to call mcb helpline again to finally activate your card (-_- yea i know. Whats the point of calling again to activate again? But this is not needed for those who already have a mcb bank account). On that call you will set your pin. Now your account is activated. Another important thing is that during this call make sure to tell them that you want to use your card online. This feature is disabled by default. Also the annual fee is changed to about 300rs per year.
